Overview
A concept redesign for composer and sound designer Mason Vellios, created to replace an older portfolio site with a more cinematic and minimal presentation of his work.
The design deliberately keeps the interface restrained, allowing Mason's film, television and music work to provide most of the visual identity.
The Project
I designed and developed the concept from the ground up, including the visual direction, responsive frontend implementation, deployment and hosting.
The project went from initial design exploration to a completed working concept in approximately two weeks.
Data-Driven Portfolio
Mason has a substantial body of work across film, television, music and sound, so I wanted the portfolio to be easy to maintain as that body of work continues to grow.
Project information is collected from sources including IMDb and stored as structured data within the site. The portfolio is then generated from that data, rather than maintaining the markup for every credit individually.
This keeps the content separate from its presentation and makes adding or updating projects much simpler as new work is released.
