Overview
A concept redesign for composer and sound designer Mason Vellios, created to replace an older portfolio site with a cleaner, more cinematic presentation of his work.
The interface is deliberately restrained so the film, television and music projects provide most of the visual identity.
The Project
I designed and built the concept from scratch, including the visual direction, responsive frontend, deployment and hosting.
The project went from early design exploration to a complete working concept in about two weeks.
Portfolio Data
Mason has a large body of work across film, television, music and sound, so the site needed to be easy to update as new projects are released.
Project information is gathered from sources including IMDb and stored as structured data. The portfolio is generated from that data rather than maintaining the markup for each credit individually.
This keeps the content separate from the presentation and makes new projects easier to add and update.
